Lori Burke bio:

Lori Burke is an award-winning singer/songwriter from Northwest Pennsylvania.  Her most recent work includes freelance songwriting for Sesame Street.  She's a member of the Sesame Alumni Group which works to encourage children to grow up stronger, smarter, and kinder. Her YouTube songs have almost a half million views including her viral parody of Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass".  She's been named one of the top ten parenting parody creators by the Today show.  She's been written about in The Huffington Post, Redbook, and the Today Show parenting websites.  

Lori has been performing music for over 15 years in a number of configurations.  You can find her singing original music solo, with The Tiger Maple String Band, or performing at parks or the library for families.  Lori has been teaching preschool music for over 7 years.  Lori also teaches private music lessons including guitar, piano, and ukulele. 

 She has accompanied Mr. Jim Avett, father of Sony recording artists The Avett Brothers, on several occasions including gigs in California, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.  She's performed with Tiger Maple at Margaritaville in Key West, and she's opened for Emmy Award winning actor Tony Hale at charity events. Lori has performed alongside Nashville's Jim Lauderdale in songwriting circles in New York.  

 Lori has written, directed, and produced 2 independent CDs: "Hold On" and "You Are Loved".  She's written a musical score for Brad Patullo's stop-motion film "Polybius".  Lori has also written music for a children's educational web series called "Take A Child To Work Day".   She's composed music for a digitally animated short film "Left Behind" for Michael Genz, alum of Disney animation. Lori has most recently started her own podcast called "Love Notes" where she interviews people about their passions.  

Lori lives with her husband Donny, 2 children Lilly and Donny, and 2 English Bulldogs in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
