Hi.

Welcome to my site. I share my adventures in music, writing, and life. Hope you have a nice visit!

"How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything"

"How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything"

I live by this quote.  I love this quote.  It's just so true.  It's a valuable tool when you need to look at the trends in your life and evaluate where you've been so you can get a clear picture of where you're headed.

For me, it helps me watch my process.  It's hard not to judge my own life.  It's nearly impossible, but if you can look at your own life objectively somehow, there is a lot to be said about using this quote to see what your next step is.  You could almost predict the outcome of your next venture.

I think part of the beauty of this quote is acceptance.  If you can accept that you do things in your life in trends, you're well on your way to satisfaction.  And satisfaction = happiness!

As for me, I see a trend: if I break down my life into the things I strive to be great at: living my life fully, being a great partner, parenting, singing, songwriting, performing, writing, I can break down how well I will do based on past success and failures.

What trends do you see in your own life?  Where have you had success?  How high did you get on your own ladder of success?  Did you keep going until you reached the top, or did you find a happy place somewhere in the middle?  Did you even get on?

I think a big key to success, aside from watching your own trends, is having a connection to someone when we get stuck.  A coach, mentor, friend, family member, or expert in the field.  Sometimes it's a matter of taking the focus off of ourselves and reaching out and tagging the next person.  Somewhere, someone is stuck on a rung of their own ladder and you are the key to getting them up to the next level.  I need to remind myself of this constantly.

Best of luck reaching your goals in 2017!!
